The Elizabethton Golf Course was busy with high school action on Wednesday afternoon.
Hampton captured the boys’ event win with Providence, Happy Valley, and Unaka rounding out the top four, while the Lady Bulldogs won the girls’ event with Unaka and Happy Valley finishing second and third, respectively.
For the Hampton boys, Avery Hill fired a 40 to lead the way, while R.J. Tolley and Caleb Royston each carded a 43. Jonah Gable and Jude Hickman had a 49 and 50, respectively.
Cole Deakins led the Happy Valley boys with a 50, while Jaryn Gouge carded a 52. Mylon McCool shot a 58. Nick Bailey finished the round with 62.
The Rangers were led by Mason Wilson’s 49, while Gavin Seigfried ended the round with a 52. Casey Wiggins and Same Lewis fired a 62 and 63, respectively.
On the girls’ side, Rylie McClain shot a 46 to lead the way. Macy Henry carded a 53 for the Lady Bulldogs.
The Lady Rangers were paced by Sadie Shoun’s 48 and Sarah Blevins’ 55. Grace Again and Laikyn Stevens tallied 61 and 62, respectively.
Happy Valley saw Cayden Anderson shoot a 53, while Grace Hollifield had a 56. Hannah Monroe ended the event with a 59.
