Hampton and Johnson County are going to have to wait a couple more days to finish out their game.
The game between Hampton and Johnson County has been postponed to Monday evening (Sept. 2) due to lightning and storms in the area.
Kickoff in Hampton is set for 7p.
Johnson County jumped out to a 6-0 lead on the opening drive after Juan Mejia scored on a short touchdown run. Before the Longhorns could kick the ball off, the game moved into a lightning delay at 7:08.
A decision to postpone the conclusion of the game was made around 8:30 with rain and lightning still in the area.
