Hampton remained inside the top two in this week’s edition of the Tennessee AP Prep Football poll for Class 2A.
The Bulldogs came in at No. 2 after seeing a furious rally at Gatlinburg-Pittman, who remained ranked at the No. 4 spot in Class 3A, come up short last Friday night.
Hampton received 150 points – including three first-place votes – to claim the No. 2 spot, while last week’s No. 2 Tyner Academy jumped to the No. 1 spot with 175 points and 14 first-place votes.
Fairley, Riverside, and Westview rounded out the top five.
Hampton is set to return to action on Friday night against Cumberland Gap at JC Campbell Stadium.
