Brandon Carpenter is returning to the sideline.
Hampton has announced that Carpenter will take over the reins of the Lady Bulldogs Basketball program. The school confirmed the move to Carter County Sports this morning.
Carpenter is no stranger to the sideline as he served as head coach of the Cloudland boys’ basketball program from 2010-2013 before resigning to take a position in administration inside the Carter County School System.
During Carpenter’s tenure, he led Cloudland to two state basketball tournament appearances as well as three substate appearances.
Before becoming head coach, Carpenter was an assistant on Ned Smith’s Cloudland staff.
Carpenter will replace Bud Hazelwood on the Hampton bench. Hazelwood retired from coaching earlier this month.
