Happy Valley rolled to a road win on Friday night.
The Warriors improved to 6-0 on the season with a 48-6 victory over Thomas Walker (Va.) in nonconference play.
HV slowly pulled away from Thomas Walker.
Keelin Releford opened the scoring with a 47-yard touchdown run three minutes into the game, and AJ Rangel added the extra point. Releford scored again early in the second on a four-yard run as Rangel’s extra point gave HV a 14-0 lead with 8:47 left in the first half.
Lane Parker nabbed an interception and returned it 26 yards for a touchdown to add to the lead, while Gabe McDougald hit Ron Paul Parker for a 27-yard touchdown. That gave the Warriors a 28-0 lead heading to the second half.
It was more the same in the second half.
Releford scored on a 59-yard touchdown run and a 31-yard touchdown run, while Ashton Guinn added a fourth-quarter touchdown to cap the scoring with a four-yard run.
Releford led the way with 163 yards on seven carries, while L. Parker had six carries for 60 yards. McDougald was 3-for-3 passing for 86 yards. Rangel went 6-of-7 on extra point attempts.
Happy Valley outgained Thomas Walker 355-85.
