It was a tale of two halves for the Happy Valley football team on Friday night.
The Warriors pulled away in the third quarter and never looked back in a 40-7 victory at Cosby in Region 1-2A play. With the win, Happy Valley improves to 4-1 overall and 2-0 in region play.
It was a slow start for the Warriors on the road.

The teams would stay tied at 7-7 until the final minute of the half. Ayers hit Little for a nine-yard touchdown with 12 seconds remaining in the half to send HV into the locker room with a 14-7 advantage.
In the second half, it was all Happy Valley.
Jordan Campbell opened the half with a one-yard touchdown run, and Matthew Bahn broke free for a 60-yard touchdown to give HV a 26-7 lead with 3:31 left in the third.
Ayers struck on the ground for a short touchdown as the Warriors took a 34-7 lead into the final quarter.
Bahn finished with 138 yards on 14 carries, while Campbell added 110 yards on 15 carries.
Ayers was 8-of-13 passing for 101 yards and two touchdowns.
As a team, the Warriors outgained Cosby 370-106.
