Happy Valley’s McDougald Selected As Week 11 Climate Controllers Player Of The Week

An outstanding performance edged out the rest for the final Climate Controllers Player of the Week of the regular season.

Happy Valley’s Gabe McDougald has been selected as the Climate Controller’s Player of the Week for his performance in the win over South Greene.

The senior led HV recorded two touchdowns and finished with 73 yards on 14 carries for the Warriors.

With the win, Happy Valley secured the program’s first 10-0 season since 1997 and also the Region 1-2A title.

McDougald joined teammates Lane Parker and Keelin Releford as Climate Controllers Players of the week selections this season. Other nominees include Landon Barnette (Cloudland), Connor McKinney (Hampton), Peyton Townsend (Hampton), Ashton Fuller (Unaka), Rhett Slagle (Elizabethton) and CJ Mathes (Elizabethton).

McDougald and company are set to open the playoffs on Friday night at home against Tellico Plains.
