Elizabethton was unable to answer early runs on Monday.
The Lady Cyclones came up short 4-0 to David Crockett in the District 1-3A Tournament at Elizabethton. With the loss, Elizabethton falls into the Wednesday evening elimination game.
In the top of the first, Elizabethton saw Sadie Williams and Lacey Gobble draw two-out walks to get runners on, but the Lady Cyclones were unable to get the runs across. Crockett opened the scoring with a run in the bottom of the first, and added two runs in the second.
Elizabethton continued to battle, but was unable to get a run on the board to start a rally.
Williams had a double and a stolen base, while Ava Hanson and Emilee Whitson each had a hit.
