Elizabethton was unable to keep the season alive on Monday night.
The Lady Cyclones dropped a 67-44 decision to Greeneville in the Region 1-3A Semifinals on Monday evening at Grainger. With the loss, Elizabethton’s season came to a close.
Rylee May provided two 3-pointers for EHS in the opening quarter while Adrian Heading added a jumper. However, Greeneville took a 16-8 lead into the second quarter.
Addison Bunn provided the Lady Cyclones with six points in the second, but EHS was unable to cut into the deficit as the Lady Greene Devils held a 31-19 advantage at the half.
Elizabethton kept battling in the second half, but the Lady Cyclones were unable to rally.
May led Elizabethton with 10 points, while Jamira Smalls scored nine points. Sydney Minton and Bunn scored eight points apiece. Heading added seven points.
Julia Woolsey and Maria Lyde scored 19 and 17 points, respectively, to pace Greeneville.
