Cloudland and Elizabethton maintained their positions in the Tennessee AP Prep Football poll on Monday.
In Class 4A, the Cyclones were ranked in the No. 3. EHS, who were off this past Friday, tallied 131 points – just 20 points behind No. 2 Anderson County.
Region 1-4A foe Greeneville held down the top with 170 points. Jackson South Side and Dyersburg rounded out the top five.
In Class A, Cloudland held steady at No. 6 with 84 points – just 17 points behind No. 5 Whitwell. The ‘Landers rolled past Unaka 64-0 on Friday night.
Greenback recorded 15-of-17 first-place votes to take the top spot, while South Pittsburg and Cornersville were second and third, respectively.
Other local teams ranked include Johnson County (No. 7 in Class 3A), David Crockett (No. 4 in Class 5A), Daniel Boone (No. 7 in Class 5A) and Tennessee High (No. 9 in Class 5A).
Elizabethton is set to host Union County on Friday for Homecoming, while Cloudland will welcome Hampton to Orr Field.
