‘Landers drop first game at East tourney

Cloudland was unable to keep pace in the final quarter with Sullivan Central on Monday night.

The ‘Landers dropped a 91-67 decision to the Cougars at the Triten Insurance Thanksgiving Tournament hosted by Sullivan East. It was Cloudland’s first loss of the season.


CHS held a 17-11 lead after a quarter of play, but the Cougars jumped ahead by four points at the half. Sullivan Central doubled up the ‘Landers in the fourth quarter to pull away for the win.

Sophomore Josh Blair tallied 14 points, while senior Noah Arnett had 13 points in the game. Jason Potter and Robert Leeper had 11 points apiece. Brinkley Mull had nine points.

Cloudland will resume tournament action on Wednesday at 4 p.m. against Morristown West.
