The Lady Cyclones kicked off the 2017 season with a 7-2 win over Grainger on Monday afternoon.

Lauren Brickey hit a 3-run homerun in the top of the first to kick things off for the Lady Cyclones and Allison Riddle knocked Jessica Cunningham across the play in the third to give EHS a 4-1 lead.

Elizabethton struck again in the fifth as Autumn Hensley pushed Cunningham across home plate with a sac fly. The Lady Cyclones added two insurance runs in the top of the seventh.

Brickey picked up the win in the circle with a complete game effort as she allowed just one earned run on five hits with eight strikeouts.
