Monday Round-up: Lady ‘Landers Split DH With East, Lady Cyclones, Lady Rangers Fall In District Games

Cloudland split a doubleheader on Monday on the road at Sullivan East.

In the first game, Peyton Preswood went 2-for-2 with two RBI to lead the way, while Regan Blair, Ayla Horney, and Reagan Turbyfill each recorded a hit and an RBI.

Layken Blair tallied two hits. Abriella Jones and Eowyn McCoury recorded a hit piece.

In the second game, Cloudland overcame a 7-2 deficit to rally and take the win.

L. Blair had two RBI and a hit, and McCoury had two hits and a RBI. Jones finished with one hit and an RBI. R. Blair scored three runs and had an RBi for the Lady ‘Landers.

David Crockett 8, Elizabethton 0
The Lady Cyclones were unable to keep pace with Crockett on Monday.

Adrian Heading went 2-for-3 at the plate for Elizabethton. Kaitlyn Gryder added a hit.

Lacey Gobble struck out four batters in the pitching circle.

North Greene 12, Unaka 2
The Lady Rangers were unable to answer a big third-inning by the Lady Huskies on Monday.

NG plated eight runs in the third to take a 10-0 lead. Unaka kept battling but was unable to rally back.

Mollie Buckles and Ariana Collins went 1-for-2 with an RBI to lead Unaka. Khloe Markland added a hit.

Baseball
West Greene 10, Hampton 3
The Bulldogs came up short Monday afternoon in a district clash.

Each team plated a run in the first and second innings as the game went to the third tied at 2-2. West Greene broke the stalemate with three runs in the third to take control.

Jaden Kuhn went 2-for-3 with two RBI. Noah Nichols had a double, while Cade Nelson, Chase Davenport, and Cash Royston each added a hit.
