Johnson County 66, Unaka 49
The Rangers were unable to cool down the red hot Longhorns on Monday night.
Unaka stayed within striking distance for most of the first half before JC took a 33-19 lead into the half. The Longhorns, however, extended their lead to 24 points over the third quarter. Unaka didn’t go down without a fight as they continued to battle in the final eight minutes.
Isaac Hill and John Ramsey had 12 points apiece to lead Unaka.
Blake Atwood tallied 24 points to lead JC, while Lucas Phillips added 14 points. Troy Arnold tallied 11 points.
Hampton 60, South Greene 49
The Bulldogs took care of business on a cool Monday night as Hampton kept South Greene at arm’s length to take the nonconference victory.
Garrett Vines scored 11 points to lead Hampton, while Matt Hughes scored 10 points in the win.
