The Bulldogs took care of business to sweep Unaka.

It was Hampton’s seventh win out of the last 10 outings.

Hampton jumped out to a 4-0 lead in the bottom of the first – a sequence that was sparked by a Collin Morgan triple.

Unaka was unable to get anything going in the top of the second despite Nathan Painter getting in scoring position, but a pair of defensive plays for Unaka held Hampton scoreless in the home side of the inning.

Parker Henry made a diving catch in the top of the third to help keep Unaka off the board, and the teams were scoreless until Hampton plated three runs in the bottom of the fourth and four more in the fifth to secure the win.

McKinley Kuhn led the way as he was 3-for-3 with two RBI, while Josh Owens added two hits. Chance Point recorded two RBI.

On the mound, Josh Whitson struck out seven batters and allowed just two hits to pick up the win for Hampton.

Unaka held Hampton to nine hits with Luke Carr getting the starting nod.
