The Elizabethton softball team rallied in a big way.

The Lady Cyclones erased an early 4-0 deficit with 12 unanswered runs to take a 12-4 victory over Johnson County on Monday in Elizabethton.

After the Lady Longhorns played a run in the first inning, Johnson County took a 4-0 lead in the top of the third.

Elizabethton, however, started a rally in the home side of the frame as Kallista Deprimo and Madisun Pritchard drove runs across the plate to cut the advantage in half.

EHS scored a run on a Lady Longhorn error in the fourth, and took their first lead of the day when Ember Jensen scored two runs.

Pritchard hit a shot that pushed Jensen across the play, and Elizabethton held a 6-4 lead after four complete.

From there, it was all Lady Cyclones as Elizabethton scored a run in the fifth and five more in the sixth to secure the win.

Jensen and Pritchard each had three hits at the plate, while Cheyenne Poiroux and Kenidy Harris had two hits apiece.

Pritchard had three RBI, while Jensen and Poiroux had two RBI apiece.

In the circle, Pritchard picked up the win as she allowed just one earned run on eight hits while recording eight strikeouts.
