Cloudland picked up a county win on Monday afternoon.
The Lady ‘Landers jumped out early to take a 15-0 Senior Day victory over Hampton.
In the first inning, Cloudland took control.
Reagan Turbyfill opened the scoring as she hit a double to score Regan Blair, while Jayla Harper added a two-base hit that plated Peyton Preswood and Turbyfill. Eowyn McCoury pushed the lead to 5-0 as her single allowed Abriella Jones and Harper to score.
Hampton looked to answer in the home side of the inning as Maleah Scalf and Mallory Lamb drew walks, but the Lady Bulldogs were unable to move the runners.
Cloudland picked up where they left off in the second as Ayla Horney scored off a Jones single, while Khloe Johnson crossed homeplate after Harper put the ball in play. After Jones scored off an E. McCoury single, Savannah McCoury hit a single that pushed E. McCoury and Harper across the plate to give CHS a 10-0 advantage.
The third inning went scoreless before Cloudland added five more runs to push the advantage to 15-0.
Hampton kept battling but was unable to get anything going offensively.
E. McCoury went 3-for-4 with three RBI, while S. McCoury and Harper each added two hits and three RBI. Turbyfill added three hits and two RBI.
Jones finished with two hits and an RBI.
In the pitching circle, Turbyfill recorded seven strikeouts with no earned runs allowed on two hits.
Emma Birchfield and Briley Davis recorded a hit apiece for Hampton, while Lamb drew two walks. Hannah Smith and Scalf also drew a walk.
Davis struck out five batters in the pitching circle.
Prior to the game, Alicia Harrison and Layken Blair were honored as the lone seniors on Cloudland’s squad.
