Rangers Fall In Season Finale

Unaka were unable to overcome turnovers in the season finale on Thursday night.

The Rangers fell 64-18 to North Greene on Stoney Creek in a Region 1-A contest. Unaka’s season comes to a close with the loss.

Ashton Fuller opened the game in a big way for the Rangers as he took the opening kickoff 83 yards for a touchdown. North Greene, however, quickly responded with a Leon Johnson touchdown on the next play from scrimmage.

After North Greene pushed the lead to 20-6, Fuller caught a Jacob Carrier touchdown pass to cut into the NG lead.

From there, the Huskies were able to limit Unaka to a 50-12 lead into the half.

The Rangers kept fighting, and Dylan Davidson added the final touchdown as he caught a Carrier pass for a 25-yard score.

Carrier was 15-of-31 passing with two touchdowns.

The Huskies’ defense forced eight turnovers in the game.
