Unaka was unable to complete a rally on Friday night.
The Rangers nearly erased a 10-point deficit but dropped a hard-fought 44-32 loss to Twin Spring (Va.) in Nickelsville, Va.
It was a wild back-and-forth battle from the opening kickoff.
After Twin Springs opened the scoring, the Rangers got on the board when Jamol Blamo caught a Landon Ramsey pass for a 57-yard touchdown.
The Titans, however, responded in the final minute of the first to take a 12-6 lead into the second.
Unaka opened the scoring in the second quarter as Ramsey found Takoda Freeman for a touchdown pass as things were evened up as 12-12.
After Twin Springs added another touchdown, the teams swapped possessions as the Rangers trailed 20-12 at the break.
The Rangers went to work quick in the third quarter as Blamo broke free for a 30-yard touchdown, and then the Rangers capitalized on a Joe-Z Blamo fumble recovery with a Ramsey to Freeman touchdown that regained the lead for Unaka.
Twin Springs answered the call once again to take a 28-26 lead into the fourth, and the Titans pushed the lead to 10 points midway through the fourth.
Unaka, however, continued to battle as Ryan Peters scored off a Ramsey pass to trim the deficit to four points with just under four minutes to play.
The Rangers, however, were unable to get a quick defensive stop as Twin Springs was able to secure the win.
Landon Ramsey was 17-of-26 passing for 215 yards and four touchdowns, while he also added 112 yards on 16 carries. Blamo had 96 yards on nine carries, while recording five catches for 74 yards.
