Due to this weekend’s flooding, the Region 1-AA and Region 1-A have altered their schedules.
The schedule for the Region 1-AA bracket saw the most change.
On the boys’ side, the three quarterfinal games (Grainger at Elizabethton, Johnson County at Chuckey-Doak and Unicoi County at Greeneville) will be played at the higher seed on Monday, Feb. 25. The semifinals, which were originally scheduled for Tuesday, Feb. 26, have been moved to Wednesday, Feb. 27, with game times set for 4:30 p.m., and 6 p.m.
The Region 1-AA Boys Championship will be held on Friday, March 1, with a 7p tip-off.
All games will be held at Happy Valley.
For the Region 1-AA girls, the semifinals will be played as scheduled on Monday, Feb. 25. The championship tilt will remain on Wednesday, Feb. 27, but will be played 30 minutes later at 7:30p.
On the Region 1-A bracket, the two boys semifinal games between Unaka and University High as well as North Greene and Cosby will be held on Wednesday, Feb. 27 – a day later then originally scheduled.
As a result, both the Region 1-A Girls Championship and Region 1-A Boys Championship will be held on Thursday, Feb. 28. The girls game is set to tip off at 6 p.m., and the boys game at 7:30p.
The rest of the Region 1-A tournament will be held at Sullivan North.
