A trio of county teams continued to be ranked in the Tennessee AP Prep Football poll heading into Week 10.
Elizabethton held steady at No. 3 in the Class 4A AP Prep Football Poll. The Cyclones tallied 146 points – which placed them 18 points behind No. 2 Tullahoma.
Greeneville was a unanimous No. 1 selection. Haywood County and Hardin County rounded out the top five.
In Class 2A, Hampton improved one spot to No. 7. The Bulldogs were 44 points behind No. 6 Riverside.
Meigs County received 16-of-19 first-place votes to remain firm at No. 1. Trousdale County and Westview were No. 2 and No. 3, respectively as the first six spots held steady.
In Class A, Cloudland held firm at the No. 6 spot. The ‘Landers were 20 points behind No. 5 Fayetteville – who was ranked at No. 2 last week.
Peabody received 19 first-place votes to keep the top spot with McKenzie and South Pittsburg were No. 2 and No. 3, respectively.
