Unaka exploded for eight runs in the first two innings and never looked back as the Rangers took a 12-2 win over Cloudland on Thursday.
The Rangers took a 5-0 lead in the first inning and extended the advantage to 8-0 in the second. The ‘Landers put two runs on the board in the top of the fifth, but Unaka quickly answered on the home side of the frame.
The Rangers were paced by John Ramsey’s 2-for-2 performance at the plate, while Blake King went 2-for-3. Davy Ensor, Dakota Gallimore and Isaac Hill had two hits apiece.
Mark Tester and Noah Arnett each recorded a hit for the ‘Landers.

The Warriors were unable to get anything going against the Rebels in a 7-0 loss.
Dustun Sams went 2-for-3 at the plate, while Bailey Conley and Dylan Townsend each had a hit a piece. Tyler Stansberry was handed the loss on the mound as he allowed just three earned runs on six hits with two strikeouts.
Happy Valley had three errors in the game leading to four unearned runs.
