Thursday Round-up: Bulldogs Pull Away In Second Half, Cyclones Fall In Hard-Fought Battle

The Bulldogs took care of business in the second half to advance to the championship game of the Green bracket in the Smoky Mountain Winter Classic at Gatlinburg-Pittman.

The first half was a back-and-forth battle with Holy Pond edging ahead to take a 27-26 lead at the half.

Hampton took over in the third. The Bulldogs saw five players score as HHS outscored Holy Pond 15-5 in the quarter. Hampton continued to have momentum as they continued to pull away in the fourth.

Hayden Campbell had 17 points to lead the way, while Geno Carrico and Michael Anspaugh had 12 points apiece. Dylan Trivett and Chance Point finished with six and five points, respectively.

Lewisburg (MS) 68, Elizabethton 55
The Cyclones were unable to overcome an early deficit despite a hard-fought effort in the Smoky Mountain Classic.

Will Churchhill had 13 points to lead the way for Elizabethton, while Jackson Hobbs had 12 points along with seven rebounds.

Andrew Barnett and Nathan Bailey had nine and eight points, respectively.
