Hannah Smith scored 31 points to power Hampton to a thrilling win in the season opener.
Smith added five rebounds, three assists, and six steals in the game. Daisy Parks added 18 points for Hampton, who trailed by one after the third quarter. Hannah Baird added 11 points.
Sophie Johnson led East with 22 points.
Elizabethton 69, Tri-Cities Christian 58
The Lady Cyclones rallied for a Thursday night win.
EHS trailed by 18 points at one point in the third quarter before rallying to take a three-point lead into the final quarter.
Addison Barr had 25 points to pace Elizabethton. Jamira Smalls added 14 points. Sydney Minton added nine points.
Tri-Cities Christian saw Ella Jaworski score 19 points to lead the way for the Lady Eagles.
Unaka 44, Cumberland Gap 33
The Lady Rangers jumped out early and then held off Cumberland Gap.
Unaka took a 16-8 lead into the second quarter, but Cumberland Gap was able to trim the lead to three points going to the half. The Lady Rangers were able to limit CG in the third to get some breathing room and take the win.
Brooklyn Campbell had 13 points to lead the way for Unaka. Ari Sutherland finished with 11 points, while Katlyn Dugger and Kalli Shephard scored seven points apiece.

Hampton 81, Sullivan East 49
The Bulldogs rolled to a season-opening win on Thursday night.
Colby Clark had 26 points and eight rebounds in his high school debut.
Chase Davenport tossed in 16 points, while Tuff Robinson added nine points.
Sullivan East was led by Ryan Hurley’s 24 points.
Unaka 71, Cumberland Gap 50
Unaka jumped out early and never looked back.
The Rangers outscored UHS 22-11 in the first quarter and held a 38-17 halftime lead.
Cooper Smith had 17 points to pace Unaka. John Hardin added 16 points, while Zach Wallin added 11 points.
Cornerstone Christian 53, Happy Valley 43
Clinton 64, Happy Valley 43
The Warriors dropped a pair of games on opening night.
In the first game, HV was unable to rally past Cornerstone. Artee Bahn and Austin Stines had six points each to lead a balanced Warrior effort.
In the second game against Clinton, the Warriors were unable to battle back from a slow start. Bahn had 11 points to lead the way. Lane Parker added nine points.
