The Rangers jumped out early and then held on for a thrilling nonconference victory over South Greene.
Unaka plated four runs in the first inning and then added seven more over the next three innings to take a 11-2 lead into the fifth inning.
After the Rebels outscored Unaka 2-1 in the fifth, South Greene mounted a charge with six runs in the sixth. However, the Rangers held firm to keep the Rebels from completing the rally.
John Ramsey, Bryson Street, Daniel Ensor, Davy Ensor, Nick Nunley, Nolan Bradley and Daniel Shearl each had two hits Unaka.
Joe Slagle picked up the win as he allowed just four earned runs on eight hits on the mound.
Johnson County 7, Hampton 0 (Baseball)
The Bulldogs were unable to keep pace with a tough Longhorn squad on Thursday.
After the teams played three innings scoreless, JC took a 2-0 lead in the fourth and then slowly pulled away for the win.
Caleb Oaks, Landen Street, and Josh Owens each had a hit for Hampton.
On the mound, Caleb Royston pitched an outstanding game as he allowed just two earned runs on five hits.
Devin Riddle added three strikeouts while allowing just two earned runs on three hits.

The Lady Bulldogs came up short in a doubleheader on Thursday evening in Hampton.
In the first game, Bailey Andrews, Sara Orr, Reagan Baker and Shae Maslin each had two hits for the Lady Bulldogs. Katie Grindstaff and Orr were 2-for-3 in the second game to pace Hampton.
