Tuesday Round-up: Bulldogs Sweep FCA; Lady Bulldogs Outlast UH

The Bulldogs picked up a doubleheader sweep Tuesday.

In the first game, Hampton saw the Flames plate four runs in the top of the first, but the Bulldogs answered with three in the home side of the frame and five more in the second to take control and the win.

Morgan Lyons was 2-for-2, while Collin Morgan had two hits and two RBI.

Jonathon Greenwell picked up the win as he allowed no earned runs on one hit in three innings of work with four strikeouts.

In the second game, Hampton took a walk-off victory as Caleb Royston scored off a Morgan fielder’s choice to end the game.

Chance Point and Royston finished with two hits apiece.

Royston also picked up the win on the mound as he allowed no earned runs on one hit in two innings of work. Lyons also had a stellar performance on the mound as he went three innings and allowed just one earned run on two hits with three strikeouts.

Hampton 13, University High 6
The Lady Bulldogs picked up a district win as Macy Henry scored four runs to power HHS past UH.

Bella Brown and Madi Setlock scored two runs apiece.

The Lady Bulldogs also dispatched Tri-Cities Christian 8-4 on Tuesday.
