Hampton 66, Happy Valley 29 (boys)
The Bulldogs jumped out early and never looked back in a county clash.
Hampton raced out to a 23-8 lead in the first quarter and maintained a 46-10 halftime advantage.
Colby Clark had 20 points to lead all scorers, while Tuff Robinson added eight points. Ezra Tolley and Bryce Fagan added seven points and six points, respectively.
Grady Goulds scored eight points to lead HV. Austin Stines and Lane Parker added seven and six points, respectively.
Elizabethton 82, Johnson County 70 (boys)
The Cyclones held off a fourth-quarter Longhorn charge to hold on for the win.
Elizabethton held a 23-point lead after the third quarter, but Johnson County was able to trim into the lead.
Evan Chambers had 24 points to pace Elizabethton. Nathan Bailey added 21 points. Hudson Pate tallied 15 points in the win.
Landin Lipford had 22 points to lead Johnson County. Eli Tester added 13 points.
Twin Springs (Va.) 70, Cloudland 33 (boys)
The ‘Landers were unable to keep pace with a quick Twins Springs offense on Tuesday night.
Cloudland led 9-4 in the opening minutes, but Twin Springs used a 13-0 run to take a 17-9 lead. The run continued in the second quarter as the Titans held a 44-20 lead at the half.
Uriah Jarrett led Cloudland with 15 points.
Elizabethton 80, Johnson County 40 (girls)
The Lady Cyclones rolled to a win on Tuesday night.
EHS led 21-11 after a quarter of play and never looked back. Elizabethton left no doubt in the fourth by outscoring Johnson County 28-6.
Addison Bunn had 29 points to pace EHS, while Reagan May scored 13 points. Jamira Smalls, who was honored for surpassing 500 career rebounds pregame, had nine points.
Sydney Minton, Adrian Heading, and Rylee May also finished with nine points apiece.
Audrey Shaw led Johnson County with 16 points. Izzy Thompson and MacKenzie McClain added 10 and six points, respectively.
Cloudland 50, Twin Springs (Va.) 49 (girls)
The Lady ‘Landers rallied in the final minute to take a road win.
As CHS entered the final minute trailing by three, Makinna Shell grabbed a steal and layup to cut the gap to one point with 44 seconds left. Regan Blair nabbed a steal seconds later and Abriella Jones added the layup with 21 seconds left to take the win.
Shell had 24 points to lead Cloudland, while Savannah McCoury had 11 points. Jones added five points.
Hampton 47, Happy Valley 27 (girls)
Hannah Smith had 15 points, while Gracie Jenkins tallied 11 points to lead Hampton to a win over a county foe on Tuesday.
Daisy Parks added seven.
Hampton led 12-5 after a quarter of play and slowly added to the lead to take a 28-15 halftime advantage.
