The Lady ‘Landers won an extra-innings thriller on Tuesday.
Unaka took a 2-0 lead in the second when Haley Davis and Devalynn Harten crossed home plate and pushed the advantage to 3-0 in the third when Brooklyn Campbell scored off a Mollie Buckles single.
Cloudland rallied in the sixth.
Eowyn McCoury drove in Savannah McCoury to get Cloudland on the board, and Layken Blair hit a double that scored Jayla Harper and E. McCoury to even things up.
In the top of the seventh, Katlyn Dugger hit a single and worked her way around the bases on a throw after stealing second and third to give Unaka a 4-3 lead going to the bottom of the seventh.
The Lady ‘Landers battled back again as Regan Blair hit a two-out single that scored Abriella Jones. Cloudland saw the winning run move to third base but was unable to bring the run home forcing extra innings.
Neither team was able to get anything going in the eighth, and Unaka was unable to capitalize on a base runner in the top of the ninth.
Cloudland was down to their final out in the ninth when E. McCoury hit a single that scored S. McCoury to secure the walk-off win.
For the Lady ‘Landers, E. McCoury had two hits and two RBI, while L. Blair had two RBI and a hit. S. McCoury had two hits and two runs scored. R. Blair added a hit and an RBI.
Reagan Turbyfill struck out nine batters and allowed just four earned runs on six hits.
Buckles led Unaka with a hit and an RBI, while Kacie Bare, Campbell, Dugger, and Harter each had a hit. Khloe Markland and Keidance Story each had an RBI.
Kimberly Profitt struck out 12 batters in the pitching circle and allowed just four earned runs on nine hits.

North Greene 9, Happy Valley 6
The Warriors battled back but was unable to complete the rally on Tuesday.
After NG took a 9-1 lead into the fifth, HV plated two runs in the fifth to close the deficit. The Warriors plated three more with two outs in the seventh but were unable to keep the rally going.
Cade Kendall went 2-for-2 with three runs scored, while Fermin Carrillo-Estrada went 2-for-3 with a run scored and an RBI. Ty Johnson and Grady Goulds each added two RBI and a hit.
Aiden Hartsook and Carlos Lopez added a hit and an RBI, respectively.
