The Lady ‘Landers opened the season quickly and never looked back.
CHS pulled away in the second quarter to take a 30-19 advantage at the half.
Makinna Shell led Cloudland with 21 points. Eowyn McCoury had 10 points, while Abby Clawson added nine points. Regan Blair and Savannah McCoury had six and five points, respectively.
Unaka 83, ACTS (Va.) 58 (boys)
The Rangers rolled to a 21-4 lead in the opening quarter and never looked back on Tuesday night.
John Hardin had a game-high 32 points, while Peyton Guess tossed in 16 points for Unaka. Aiden Walsh scored 15 points in the win.
Luke Smith led ACTS with 17 points.
Volunteer 57, Elizabethton 47 (boys)
The Cyclones were unable to overcome a strong Falcon first quarter on Tuesday.
Volunteer used a 12-0 run in the first to take a 20-6 lead into the second. EHS kept battling, but was unable to rally late.
Evan Chambers led the way with 14 points, while Hudson Pate had 13 points. Nathan Bailey added 10 points.
