The Warriors stayed hot on Friday night.
Happy Valley raced out to an early lead and never looked back as they took a 62-0 victory over Unaka on Friday night on Warrior Hill.
It was the third consecutive game that HV had surpassed 60 points as they move to 5-0 on the season with next week’s clash with Hampton looming. Unaka dropped to 1-4 on the year as the Rangers will make the trip to Roan Mountain for a region clash next Friday.
Austin Hicks scored the game’s first touchdown with a 49-yard run, and Sage Haun hit Brayden Sams for a four-yard touchdown pass to give the Warriors the early lead.
Dylan Street scored on his first of two punt returns, and Dustun Sams ran into the end zone on a short carry. That gave the Warriors a 27-0 lead after a quarter of play.
Street struck again on special teams for the Warriors as Unaka was unable to get anything going.
Dylan Townsend added an interception return to increase the HV lead. Luke Roberts and Will Tittle along with Tyler Guinn also added touchdowns to complete the final margin.
HV led 55-0 at the half.
Tittle had a game-high 100 yards on just four carries. Street added 65 yards on two carries, while Hicks had two rushes for 58 yards.
Blake King led Unaka as he went 12-of-23 for 58 yards.
