Happy Valley scored early and often Friday night.
The Warriors rolled to a 65-0 victory over Cumberland Gap on the road Friday night in Region 1-2A play. HV improves to 8-0 on the season and 1-0 in region action.
It was all HV from the opening kick.
Keelin Releford opened the scoring with a seven-yard touchdown run, while HV took a 14-0 lead into the second quarter after Tyler Bailey scored on a 57-yard run.
The Warrior defense recorded a safety in the opening minute of the second quarter.
Bailey scored again on a 73-yard run, while Releford completed the hat trick with a 70-yard touchdown run and a 17-yard touchdown run to give HV a 37-0 lead midway through the second. Tyler Berry and Lane Parker added touchdowns late in the half as the Warriors maintained a 51-0 lead at the half.
Jayden Powell scored on a four-yard run, and Ethan Honeycutt scored on a 35-yard pick-six to cap the scoring.
The Warriors outgained the Panthers 413-82.
Bailey led the way with 156 yards on three carries, while Releford had 120 yards on six carries.
