Wednesday Roundup: Lady Rangers Take Win Over Hampton; Cyclones, Lady Cyclones Roll To Wins

The Lady Rangers jumped out early to take a district win on Wednesday night on Stoney Creek.

Unaka jumped out to a 4-0 lead in the first and added five more in the second to take full control.

Kacie Bare and Devalynn Harter had two hits and three RBI apiece, while Kelsey Pasquale added two hits and two RBI. Brooklyn Campbell had a hit and two RBI. Mollie Buckles recorded a hit and an RBI.

Kiera McKinney had Hampton’s lone hit in the game.

Elizabethton 16, Stow-Munroe Falls (OH) 2
The Lady Cyclones left no doubt with four runs in the fifth and eight more in the sixth as EHS rolled to the win.

Gracie Shepard was 3-for-4 with two RBI, while Adrian Heading added three RBI and two hits for the Lady Cyclones. Sadie Williams and Ava Hanson had two hits and two RBI apiece.

Lacey Gobble struck out eight batters and allowed no earned runs on two hits in five innings of work.

Elizabethton 20, Asheville Christian (NC) 4
The Cyclones jumped out early and never looked back.

After Asheville Christian plated four runs in the top of the first, Elizabethton answered with six of their own in the home side of the frame, and took control with three in the second and two more in the third.

The Cyclones left no doubt with nine runs in the fourth.

Justin Whitehead went 4-for-4 with five RBI, while Carter Reece and Marshal Holtsclaw had two hits and three RBI apiece. Jack Blevins was 2-for-2 with two RBI, and Elijah Ambrose had two hits and two RBI.

On the mound, Seth Holly allowed no earned runs on six hits with four strikeouts in five innings of work.
