Hampton’s Coby Jones and Elizabethton’s Jeremiah Turner have been selected to play in the annual Toyota East vs. West Tennessee All-Star Classic.
In addition to the player selections, Elizabethton Head Coach Shawn Witten will serve as the East Head Coach with Cyclone assistant Ryan Witten also serving on the staff as an assistant.
The game will be played on Dec. 11, on the campus of Tennessee Tech.
Jones and Turner look to duplicate the success that former Cyclone Ethan Thomas had in the game last season as Thomas claimed Offensive MVP honors.
The game will be televised on a statewide television network that includes stations in Memphis, Nashville, Chattanooga, Knoxville and the Tri-Cities.
Before turning his attention to the game, Jones will lead the Hampton program in the Class 2A semifinals on Friday night. Kickoff at JC Campbell Stadium is set for 7 p.m., as the Bulldogs host Marion County.
