Hampton was unable to keep pace on Friday night.
The Bulldogs dropped a hard-fought 35-0 decision to Pisgah (NC) at JC Campbell Stadium.
The Bears opened the game with a 10-play drive that ended when Jake Lowery caught a 26-yard pass from Aaron Clark midway through the quarter. Hampton was unable to get anything going on their first drive of the night, and Lowery and Clark connected for a 27-yard score to take a 14-0 lead into the second.
Hampton continued to battle in the second quarter with strong plays from Dominique Burleson, but the Bulldogs were unable to break onto the scoreboard.
Landon Pope added a 13-yard touchdown and Clark found Kale Holloway for a 51-yard touchdown as Pisgah pushed the lead to 28-0 at the half.
In the second half, Hampton continued to fight but was unable to get into the endzone.
Burleson led Hampton with 86 yards on 22 carries, while Peyton Townsend added 29 yards on nine carries.
Clark was 10-of-16 passing for 254 yards and four touchdowns and also added five carries for 48 yards to lead Pisgah. Pope had 48 yards rushing on eight carries for the Bears, while Lowery had six catches for 116 yards.
Hampton is set to return to action on Friday night with a pivotal trip to Happy Valley to open region play.
