Carter County Well Represented on Murphy Fair Preseason All-State Teams



Carter County was well represented on Murphy Fair’s U.S. Army Preseason All-State Teams.

Five county athletes were honored on the selection. The teams were announced in Murphy Fair’s Tennessee High School Football Yearbook.

In Class A, Cloudland’s Eli Preswood and Unaka’s Daniel Shearl were selected. Preswood – a six-foot-two 275-pound senior – was selected on the offensive line, while Shearl – a six-foot 176-pound junior – was selected as a defensive back.

The defending Class 4A state champion Cyclones saw four total selections – three selections on the offensive side of the ball with another coming on the defensive side.

Offensively, Bryson Rollins – a six-foot 180-pound junior – was selected as a running back/athlete, while Parker Hughes – a six-foot-two 180-pound senior – was selected as a wide receiver. Cole Morganstern – a six-foot-three 285-poind senior – was selected to an offensive line position.

On the defensive side of the ball, six-foot 220-point senior Deuce Morton was selected at the linebacker position.
