Cyclones, Lady Rangers wrap up tournaments with wins

Oakdale 77, Cloudland 62 (Boys)
The ‘Landers wrapped up the Harriman Christmas Classic with a 77-62 loss to Oakdale.

Cloudland was unable to keep pace in the third quarter as Oakdale outscored CHS 29-13 in the frame.

Robert Leeper tallied 19 points, while Dillon Johnson had 12 points. Josh Blair added 11 points for the Cloudland cause.


Elizabethton 63, Bethlehem (FL) 38 (Boys)
The Cyclones wrapped up the King of the Smokies tournament in Pigeon Forge in style with a strong win.

EHS jumped out to an 18-11 lead after a quarter of play and never looked back. Adam Cornett had 18 points to lead Elizabethton, while Parker Hughes had 16 points. Nico Ashley added 14 points to the Elizabethton cause.

Hughes was named to the All-Tournament team.

Unaka 43, Hickman 31 (Girls)
The Lady Rangers finished the Sergeant York Southeastern Christmas Invitational with a 2-1 mark after a Saturday win over Hickman. Lexi Garland had 10 points, while Sarah Tipton and Sydney Markland had nine and eight points, respectively.

Unaka 41, Knox Central 29 (Girls) Friday
Unaka broke into the tournament win column with a win over Knox Central on Friday. Garland had 18 points to lead UHS, while Myah Parlier had 14 points.
