The District 1-A Softball Tournament is set to begin.
Cloudland and Hampton will open the tournament at Sullivan North on Monday, May 6, while Unaka will open the tournament on Tuesday, May 7.
Monday afternoon will feature two play-in games as No. 4 University High and No. 5 Sullivan North square off at 5:30 p.m., and No. 3 Cloudland will take on No. 6 Hampton at 7 p.m. The winners will advance to the double-elimination portion of the tournament while the losers will see their season come to a close.
On Tuesday, No. 1 Unaka will take on the winner of the University High and Sullivan North game at 5 p.m. The winner of the Cloudland and Hampton game will take on No. 2 North Greene at 6:30 p.m.
The loser’s bracket semifinal between Tuesday’s two losing teams is set for 8 p.m.
Wednesday will see the winner’s bracket final at 5:30 p.m., with the winner clinching a spot in Thursday’s championship tilt. The losing team will face the winner of Tuesday’s losers bracket semifinal at 7 p.m.
The championship and if-necessary game is set for Thursday at 5:30 p.m.
