The brackets for the District 1-A tournaments have been finalized.
The tournament will be played at Happy Valley in its entirety and will begin on Thursday, Feb. 16.
On the boys’ side, No. 4 Unaka and No. 5 Cloudland will square off in a play-in game on Thursday at 7:30. The winner will advance to Saturday’s semifinals against No. 1 North Greene at 6p in addition to securing a spot in the Region 1-A tournament.
Hampton will be the No. 2 seed after losing the coin flip tiebreaker to North Greene for the top spot. The Bulldogs will take on No. 3 University High in the other Saturday semifinal at 7:30p.
The Championship and consolation games will be set for Tuesday with the title game at 7:30 with the consolation game at 6p.
On the girls’ side, No. 4 Hampton will open the tournament in a play-in game on Thursday at 6p against No. 5 University High. A win will also secure the Lady Bulldogs a berth in the Region 1-A tournament.
With a win, Hampton will advance to take on No. 1 North Greene in Friday semifinal action at 6p.
The other semifinal will see No. 2 Unaka take on No. 3 Cloudland at 7:30p.
The Championship and consolation games for the girls’ bracket will be played on Monday night.
