Five Carter County athletes were selected to the Tennessee Football Coaches Association All-State teams for Class A and Class AA. The teams were announced on Monday and were selected following conversations with coaches statewide in each classification.
Class 3A and Class 4A are slated to be unveiled on Tuesday.
In Class A, two Rangers and a ‘Lander highlighted the team. For Unaka, junior John Ramsey was
selected as a quarterback, while sophomore Blake Isaacs was selected as a wide receiver. Cloudland junior Jordan Coffey was selected to the team as an athlete.
In Class AA, Happy Valley had two players selected to the team. Senior Landon Morefield was voted to one of the offensive line spots, while senior Brayden Sams was selected as a defensive back.
