Ramsey named Climate Controllers Player of the Week

There was a number of standout performances in Unaka’s overtime win over Cosby. However, one edged ahead of the rest in discussions of the Climate Controllers Player of the Week.

Freshman Landon Ramsey has been named the Climate Controllers Player of the Week for Week 2 after he played a crucial role in the Rangers’ first win of the season.

Ramsey was 17-of-20 passing for 218 yards in the contest. He threw touchdowns to Devin Ramsey and Daniel Shearl in the game.

On the season, the freshman quarterback is an impressive 27-of-32 passing for 313 yards. He has thrown for three scores this year.

Ramsey joins Elizabethton’s Bryson Rollins as the 2019 Climate Controllers Player of the Week.

Ramsey and company return to action on Friday as they welcome Hancock County to Stoney Creek.
