Unaka kept on fighting on Friday night. However, Jellico stayed a step ahead.

The Rangers dropped a 42-24 decision on Jellico in Region 1-A play.

Unaka answered an early Blue Devil touchdown early as Garrett Stiltner scored on a 12-yard run. The Rangers took their first lead of the game when John Boy Ramsey found Isaac Hill for an eight-yard touchdown.

Jellico, however, answered quickly and scored the next 26 points.

The Rangers cut the gap in the second quarter with Ramsey passes to Blake Isaacs and Reid Taylor. However, Jellico answered to secure the game.

Unaka returns to Stoney Creek in Week 6 as they host Sullivan North.
