Unaka now knows their path to a state title.
The Lady Rangers learned that Wartburg will be their quarterfinal opponent as the brackets for the 2018 Class A State Tournament was set on Sunday in Murfreesboro.
Unaka will open the tournament on Thursday at 10 am Murfreesboro time inside the Murphy Center.
Wartburg claimed a spot in the state tournament by defeating Cloudland 47-43 in Saturday’s substate action.
The Lady Bulldogs are 23-7 on the season with a win at Unaka prior to Christmas break. Wartburg has won 13 of their last 14 games.
The winner of the Unaka-Warburg game will advance to face the winner of the Dresden-Summertown winner at 2:45 pm Murfreesboro time on Friday.
The top half of the bracket features match-ups between Pickett County and Greenfield and Huntingdon-Moore County.
