Unaka’s Lyndie Ramsey is in the running for a massive honor.
The junior was named a finalist for the TSSAA Class 1A Miss Basketball award on Thursday morning. A statewide committee of sportwriters selected the finalists based on performance during the 2021-22 regular season, and also took into account academics and character.
She was joined by Alayna Anderson of Gleason and Savannah Davis of McKenzie as finalists.
Ramsey has had an incredible junior season as she has averaged 25.3 points per game and 7.3 rebounds per game.
The winner will be presented on Monday, March 14 at the Murphy Center in Murfreesboro.
