Unaka’s Ramsey snags Climate Controllers honor

A special performance highlighted Week5.

Unaka senior quarterback John Ramsey has been named the Climate Controllers Player of the Week for Week 5 after his performance against Jellico.

Ramsey went 14-of-20 through the air for 302 yards. The senior, who averaged 21.6 yards per competition, also recorded three touchdowns. On the ground, he also added a touchdown.

On the season, Ramsey is 50-of-80 for 843 yards with four touchdowns. He has also added six touchdowns on the ground.

Ramsey joins Elizabethton’s Everett Carter and Parker Hughes along with Hampton’s Lane Potter and Cloudland’s Offensive Line as Climate Controllers Player of the Week honorees.

The Rangers are set to travel to Sullivan North on Friday.
