Unaka saw Devon Jarrett had an impressive game on Friday night.

For his performance in the Rangers’ win over Sunbright, Jarrett has been selected the Climate Controllers Player of the Week for Week 11.

In the regular season finale, the senior nabbed eight catches for 149 yards and averaged just under 19 yards per catch. He recorded two touchdowns in the victory.

Defensively, Jarrett also had an interception.

The wide receiver has had steady hands for Unaka as he has recorded 40 catches for 740 yards this season with eight touchdowns.

Jarrett joins teammate John Boy Ramsey as a Climate Controllers Player of the Week honoree. Other Climate Controllers honorees this season include Happy Valley’s Dakota Cochran, Cloudland’s Jordan Coffey, Cloudland’s offensive line, Hampton’s Lane Potter, Elizabethton’s Parker Hughes, Elizabethton’s Carter Everett and Elizabethton’s Corey Russell.

Jarrett and company will wrap up 2018 on Saturday in the CAREacter Star Community Service Classic against Pickett County. The game will be held at Grace Christian in Knoxville and is set for a 2:30 p.m. kickoff.
