Elizabethton gave it their all on Tuesday night. Unfortunately, a late Fulton run proved to be the difference.

The Cyclones were unable to recover as Fulton went on a 21-2 run to close the game and take a 64-50 victory in Class AA action inside Treadway Gymnasium.

After the Falcons scored the first points of the night, Austin Cornett and Bo Pless put Elizabethton on the board. Michael Robinson drained a 3-pointer, and Tyler Nichols closed the quarter with a trey to give Elizabethton an 18-9 lead after a quarter of play.

The Cyclones maintained the lead until Fulton ended the half on a run that closed the EHS lead to 25-24.

Bowers opened the third quarter with an old-fashioned 3-point play and Nichols added a bucket to give Elizabethton some breathing room. Late shots from behind the arc from Robinson and Bowers gave Elizabethton a 44-39 advantage heading to the final period.

Pless pushed the lead to 48-42 for the Cyclones in the opening minutes of the final quarter. However, the Falcons got on a roll and never looked back as they rolled to the win.

Bowers had 12 points while Pless tallied eight points. Cornett and Robinson tossed in eight points apiece.
