‘Betsy offense claims Applebee’s Unit of the Week honors

It was a dominating effort across the board.

The Elizabethton offense has been named the Week 9 Applebee’s Unit of the Week for their performance in the 53-3 victory over West Greene.

The Cyclones dominated the game behind an impressive offensive line performance as the offense rolled over the Buffaloes in the homecoming win. Elizabethton tallied 360 rushing yards in the game, and added 163 passing yards.

Elizabethton was clicking early as they scored 21 points in the first quarter, and left no doubt with a 19-point second quarter. Leaders included Jermiah Turner (117 yards on 10 carries), Logan Norman (105 yards on 14 carries) and Hunter Tyree (12-of-16 passing for 163 yards and four total touchdowns).

The win moves the Cyclones a game closer to closing out the region title – which a win on Friday night at Chuckey-Doak would clinch the title.
