The bracket is set for the 2026 District 1-A Tournament.
This year’s tournament is set to be held at Happy Valley and will open play on Thursday, Feb. 19. The complete bracket is below.
On the boys’ side, Hampton captured the top seed while Unaka will enter the tournament as the No. 2 seed. North Greene and University High are seeded No. 3 and No. 4, respectively, with Cloudland coming in at No. 5. The tournament will open on Thursday, Feb. 19, as No. 4 University High will take on No. 5 Cloudland in an elimination game with the winner advancing to take on No. 1 Hampton in Saturday’s semifinals.
On Saturday, Feb. 21, the Bulldogs will take on the winner of the UH and Cloudland game at 6p, while No. 2 Unaka will open the tournament against No. 3 North Greene at 7:30p.
The boys’ Championship and consolation games are set for Tuesday, Feb. 24.
On the girls’ side, Unaka claimed the No. 1 seed, while North Greene and Cloudland entered the tournament seeded No. 2 and No. 3, respectively. Hampton will open play as the No. 4 seed, with University High being seeded as the No. 5.
The girls’ tournament will see No. 4 Hampton take on No. 5 University High in an elimination game at 6p. The winner of the Hampton and UH contest will then take on No. 1 Unaka in Friday, Feb. 20’s semifinal at 6p. The other semifinal between No. 2 North Greene and No. 3 Cloudland will tip off at 7:30p.
The girls’ championship and consolation games are set for Monday, Feb. 23.
