The brackets for the Girls’ Region tournaments are set.
With the completion of the District tournaments on Monday night, teams now know the road to Murfreesboro.
The boys’ bracket will be set following Tuesday night’s games.
Tournament play is set to on Friday night with the higher seed hosting the matchup before moving to one site for the semifinals and finals.
Friday’s quarterfinals are set for a 7p start.
In Class A, the semifinals and finals are slated to be held at West Ridge High School, Class 2A will play the semifinals and finals at David Crockett and Class 3A will see Elizabethton host both the semis and finals.
In Region 1A, Hampton will represent District 1 as the No. 1 seed after securing their first tournament title since 2010. The Lady Bulldogs will open the tournament against District 2-No. 4 Hancock County.
Cloudland will open the tournament as the No. 3 seed from District 1 after outlasting Unaka in the consolation game. The Lady ‘Landers will travel to District 2-No. 2 Cosby Friday night.
The winner of the Hampton/Hancock County and the winner of the Cloudland/Cosby game will square off in Monday, Feb. 27’s first semifinal at 6p.
The bottom part of the bracket will see Unaka travel to District 2-No. 1 Washburn as the No. 4 seed from District 1. The Lady Rangers entered as the No. 4 seed after Monday’s heartbreaking loss.
The winner of that contest will take on the winner of the District 1-No. 2 North Greene and District 2-No. 3 Jellico quarterfinal on Monday, Feb. 27, in the second semifinal.
In 2A, Happy Valley will enter the tournament as the No. 4 seed from District 1 after Monday’s heartbreaking loss in the consolation game.
The Lady Warriors will travel to District 2-No. 1 Gatlinburg Pittman for a Friday quarterfinal, and the winner will take on the winner of the District 1-No. 2 Chuckey-Doak and District 2-No. 3 Union County quarterfinal at 7:30p on Monday, Feb. 27.
The other quarterfinals feature District 1-No. 1 south Greene vs. District 2-No. 4 Pigeon Forge and District 2-No. 2 Alcoa vs. District 1-No. 3 West Greene with the winners playing in the 6p semifinal at David Crockett.
In Class 3A, Elizabethton will enter the Region tournament as the No. 1 seed from District 1-A after winning their second consecutive district championship. The Lady Cyclones will host District 2-No. 4 Claiborne in Friday night action.
The winner will take on the winner of the District 2-No. 2 Grainger and District 1-No. 3 Tennessee High quarterfinal at 6p on Monday, Feb. 27.
The other quarterfinals feature District 2-No. 1 Greeneville hosting District 1-No. 4 Sullivan East and District 1-No. 2 Unicoi County hosting District 2-No. 3 Cocke County.
Those two winners will square off in the 7:30p semifinal on Monday, Feb. 27.
Teams in all classes who advance to the Region Finals will secure a berth in the sectional round.
