The schedule for the region tournaments have been set.
The Region 1-A and the Region 1-AA tournaments will start on Friday night with girls action and on Saturday for the boys.
In Region 1-A, Cloudland and Hampton boys will open the tournament at home on Saturday night while Unaka will hit the road. The Bulldogs will host Berean Christian with the winner advancing to Tuesday’s semifinals against the winner of Northview Academy and North Greene. The ‘Landers will kick off the Region 1-A tournament against Hancock County and the winner of that matchup will play the winner of Unaka at Cosby on Tuesday.
On the girls’ side, Cloudland will travel to Northview Academy on Friday to start the tournament. The winner of the Lady ‘Landers-Northview matchup will face the winner of North Greene-Hancock County on Monday.
The Region 1-A semifinals and finals will be held at Chuckey Doak Middle School.
The Region 1-AA tournament will see the Lady Cyclones host Cumberland Gap while Happy Valley will travel to Chuckey-Doak. The winner of the two games will face in the semifinals.
On the boys’ side, Elizabethton will make the trip to Cumberland Gap on Saturday. The winner of the Cyclones-Panthers will take on the winner of the Grainger-Unicoi County game in the semifinals.
The Region 1-AA semifinals and finals are set to be held at Grainger High School.
